I started using Sharpie pens and Prismacolor markers in 1999. After a few years, I got tired of the markers, as they would often dry out at inopportune times during the coloring process.My solution was to switch from markers to colored pencils, but I had problems with the pencil leads breaking frequently.
I don't use colored pencils much anymore. I still use pens, but recently started adding color in PhotoShop.
